Kids Helping Kids:

Hello everyone,

Kids Helping Kids will be meeting next Tuesday December 4, 2012 right after school until 3:15 pm. We will be meeting in the library and will be working on the BIG holiday food drive.

It is never too late to join! Stop by the office and get your permission slip and bring it to the meeting filled out by your parent and/or guardian.

Picture Retakes WEDNESDAY,11-28-12!

Students must have the original picture packet with them in order to have their retakes done.

New picture order forms are available in the office.

If the student is new to our school (start date after October 4th), they will also need their picture taken.  A picture order form is being sent home with them.

I hope everyone had a fabulous four days off for Thanksgiving!

Students please remember to include reading as part of your homework. Read at least 3 nights a week for 20 minutes each time. Turn in your November reading calendar on December 3rd to receive homework points and your choice of Pizza Hut Personal Pizza ticket or 10 Bonus Bear Bucks!!!

Students be on stage at 5:45pm, ready to perform. Showtime is 6:00pm-6:40pm
Dress Rehearsal is Thursday morning at 9:00! If you are dressing up for the 9:00am performance please bring a change of clothes for the remainder of the day!
We are so excited to perfom for everyone!!

Toy Sale, Friday, November 9th(Our class shopping time is 12:15)

Mesa Verde Families,

 You still have time to clean out your children’s rooms and closets.  Kids Helping Kids will continue collecting toys until Wednesday, November 7^th before school.  All toys will be sorted and priced, so that our students may come to the toy sale and purchase toys. 

The toy sale will be Friday, November 9^th and each class will have time to go and shop at the sale.  The proceeds from the toy sale will be used to purchase new toys, which will benefit children in our community who need our help to have Happy Holidays.  If you would like your child to attend the sale it is suggested that the children bring between a quarter and $3.00.  If you do send money please put it in an envelope marked with your child’s name and labeled “toy sale.”

Show Time!

Our performance of "We the People" is this Thursday, November 8th !

• Students performing in the song Bill Of Rights please have your signs at school by Tuesday, November 6th
• Please remember to bring cookies and cups no later than the morning of Wednesday, November 7th
• Students will need to be  on stage at 5:45 pm on Thursday
• We will be inviting all veterans and current military to stand at the opening of our show

The Mesa Verde Fall Carnival is right around the corner! In order to make this years' carnival a great success we need a little help from you...

Mrs. Galer's class is sponsoring the Snake Pit Booth this year. Participants will pay 3 tickets to pick a snake out of the water “pit”...if their snake has a red dot, they win a prize!

Tutoring Time Fun

Pictures are In!!

Hello Mesa Verde Families,

Picture packets will be coming home today (Thursday).  Every student that was here on picture day will come home with a packet, even if you did not order pictures.  All students have a class picture in their envelope.  If you missed ordering a picture packet the information will be in the envelope on how to order online.  At this point we do not know when picture retake day will be, but as soon as it is scheduled we will let you know.  If you would like to have your child’s picture retaken please hang on to the picture packet and return it to the school on retake day.  If you have any questions or concerns about the picture packet please contact the company.
